Freeway introduces its new collection commemorating the National Artists of the Philippines. In a celebration of Filipino culture and talent, Freeway features the works of the great Philippine poet, Nick Joaquin as interpreted in this seven piece pocket collection which includes graphic tees, hoodie jackets, woven tops, shirt dresses, a Limited Edition Nick Joaquin Clutch and for the first time, a graphic tee for MEN. The eye catching collection merges beautiful graphics with the masterful words of the artist, with each piece wrapped in individual special packaging and authenticated with a Nick Joaquin National Artist stamp printed on it. Perfect for a commemorative gift! The collection introduces Nick Joaquin to today's youth as it merges Filipino culture with current fashion. To see the entire collection, visit www.freeway.net.ph.
The event was held at The Row Glorietta 5 and i was glad to be invited. It was an intimate celebration of Nick Joaquin's life and works. The guests were treated to a TERTULIA or Poetry Reading hosted by Mo Twister.
Readers were figures of today’s scene, such as G Tongi, Jocas De Leon and Bing Villegas, who represented the Joaquin family. The event also featured the music of harpist/singer Noelle Cassandra who sang a beautiful song to open the show.
While listening to beautiful melodies from the Noelle Cassandra on the harp and the magical words of the Artist, we enjoyed coffee and delectable treats from one of the best homegrown café’s in the country, Bo’s Coffee.
Me - enjoying my coffee!
Freeway treated their guests to a raffle for Freeway Gift Certificates and everyone was able to take Limited Edition Nick Joaquin Clutch with writer’s goodies inside as a souvenir of the event. Guests were able to view and purchase right there and then, pieces from the Freeway National Artist Collector’s Series.
The event was very successful and we truly enjoyed it!
