The Best Hairstyle For Your Face Shape

Finding the perfect hairstyle can be challenging. We usually choose styles that suits our lifestyle and hair type, but we should also consider what styles suits our face shape.

Round Face

If you have a round face, creating a slimmer look is your goal. Avoid center partings which can emphasize the fullness of your face and minimize hair width by keeping it flat at the sides and round the ears. To make a round face look longer, opt for hairstyles with a swept-back direction or hair styles that are longer than chin length.

Square Face

You have a square face if you have a strong angular jaw. You may want to soften the square look on your face with layers and wispy looks. Height on the crown will make your face longer, as some curl or wave will give some roundness around your face.

Long or Oblong Face

If your face is long and slender, choosing styles that adds volume to the sides minimize the oblong look. Use bangs to make your face appear shorter because they cover up a large forehead. Chin-length bobs and "V" shaped haircuts works best because they create an illusion of width on your face.

Heart Shaped Face

For this face shape it is the eyes and pointy chin that tend to be the focal points of the face. To achieve balance between your cheekbones and narrow chin, go for long layers or chin length styles. Side-swept bangs and wavy layers creates a balanced look for your face.
